Our Board is evaluating the COVID situation monthly. At present, all of our classes are online, and we are assisting students in connecting with portable ballet barres and marley floor panels to use in their homes for safe online learning.

Class assignment for children and teens is based initially on the age of the student. Ballet Renaissance instructors will make final class placement decisions after observing each student in class. Ballet Renaissance also welcomes adult students of all ages and experience levels.

If you wish to receive more information, please fill out "Contact Ballet Renaissance" (on our "home" page) and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

The Focus of Our Efforts

Protégé is Ballet Renaissance's full scholarship training program for qualifying students and parallels the time-honored model of rewarding talent and commitment to classical studies, prevalent throughout the professional classical training community. This model enables the development of a high-quality training pool, while simultaneously eliminating financial barriers that might otherwise prohibit particularly talented and committed students from studying. Protégé students are hand-picked, based on attendance and work ethic, and are expected to work carefully and meticulously during class-time and to attend classes consistently.

The Ballet Renaissance outreach program provides low charge and no charge on site ballet training and performance experiences to students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to reap the benefits of classical training.

Outreach classes are sponsored by grants, gifts, and in-kind donations from instructors and partnering organizations.

To support Ballet Renaissance outreach programming with a tax deductible charitable gift in the amount of your choice, use the Donate button on this website or mail your tax deductible donation to "Ballet Renaissance":  PO Box  3768 Estes Park, CO 80517

Adult Ballet

Whether you have danced for years, or have never experienced classical training but always wanted to give it a try, Ballet Renaissance Adult classes are just what you're looking for. Classes are taught in a spirit of creativity and inclusiveness and seek to develop strength, coordination, confidence and flexibility in dancers of all ages.

Dress Code

Aesthetics are an important part of the classroom and then art of classical ballet. There is a required dress code for all young dancers.

Plain black leotard (must be long sleeve, please make sure that straps from crop tops, sports bras, etc, are not be visible under the leotard); no skirts, leg warmers or other warm-up attire during the class itself; pink tights covering entire foot, pink leather ballet shoes (with draw strings tucked completely and securely inside the shoes); hair secured neatly in an "up do" (no hair decorations of any kind);  no jewelry or watches (small pierced earrings are OK). All girls are required to purchase a beige-colored camisole leotard. Camisole must be worn under costumes at all times (camisole may also be worn under classroom leotard). Camisoles are important for keeping costumes clean and for preventing dancer’s skin from being irritated by the costume. Camisoles are worn like a bathing suit as a layer of modesty and provide a smooth aesthetic line under both costumes and classroom attire.

Plain white, fitted short sleeve t-shirt, black tights, black leather ballet shoes (dance belt required for teens).

Adults please wear appropriate ballet classroom attire of your choosing.

Costumes are purchased and maintained by Ballet Renaissance.

This model alleviates the financial burden of costumes from participating families and enables Ballet Renaissance to maintain a full wardrobe of costumes to utilize for various performances, throughout the year.
